The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to your community.
SASSA will be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency stated it can be alarmed about the significant range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the SRD Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high quantity of here clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area each day. The provider issue made for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sources to enable the servicing of all customers and raise access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
